Smiths Prosthetic Deadener a gelling agent that can be added to Platsil Gel silicone to increase the flexibility of the finished piece and to slow down drying times. It gives a more "human" look and feel to prosthetic pieces, allowing them to move more realistically with the skin. You can add 175-200% deadener, compared with the quantity of platsil gel. The mould will need to be encapsulated by coating it with an encapsulator such as Baldiez or Super Baldiez.
