In 2012 Special FX makeup artist Mike Dargan used his 20 year knowledge of the makeup industry coupled with his 8 year knowledge of materials and chemistry and began making professional grade alcohol activated palettes under the name Dashbo. Since then, Dashbo has become an award winning, cruelty free, vegan friendly UK manufacturer of high quality professional makeup, and Sunaura have teamed up with them to create this Alcohol Basics Palette!

The colours in this palette are the same as those used by the make up crew on the set of Vikings. The palette contains a practical combination of primary and injury colours, which can be mixed to create all most any look! Alcohol Activated make up has a polymer base which dissolves in alcohol but not in water which gives it excellent staying power. Alcohol Activated make up comes as a dry cake in a palette and must be activated using 99% alcohol (such as Sunaura IPA) or Skin Illustrator Activator.  Alcohol activated paints can also be used on silicone and latex pieces. As Iso Propyl Alcohol is restricted for professional use only, Skin Illustrator Activator or Slow Activator is a suitable alternative for those without a professional trade account.
