Got Flesh! Prosthetic
transfers are quick and easy to use. They are perfect for all level makeup
artists and are easily blended and painted to create your desired injury effect.
How to
apply:
1) Carefully pick the edges off the
prosthetic as this will ensure an easier blend.
2) Decide exactly where you want to position the prosthetic - then using a light colour make up pencil, mark out the area.
3) Using Prosaide apply a thin layer, then let dry until tacky.
4) Put your water
slide transfer paper onto the prosthetic.
5) Once the water slide transfer paper is applied onto the prosthetic it is a good idea to map out on the back of the paper where
the prosthetic is. Hold it up to the light and carefully outline the shape of the
prosthetic.
6) Dampen sponge then squeeze out as much of the water as possible as if there is too much water then the transfer paper will get too wet. Then using the sponge begin to press the
prosthetic onto the skin. Once you feel that the transfer paper has had
enough water to ensure the prosthetic sticks to the skin you can then peel the
transfer paper off.
7) Using IPA and a cotton
bud, smooth out the edges.
8) Powder the prosthetic with translucent powder
9) It is now ready to be finished off by painting using your chosen colours. Paints you can use would include either water based, creme based or alcohol based paints. You can even use eyeshadows.
10) Finish off with sealer for longer
wear of your prosthetic.
Removal
- Remove the prosthetic with an oil based product, Pro Clean is a good option. Avoid using IPA as the
prosthetic will slightly dissolve the prosthetic making it harder to peel off.
