Got Flesh! Prosthetic
transfers are effective, easy to work with and fast. They are perfect for all level makeup
artists and are easily blended and painted to create your either an old burn wound or a new raw looking burn.
How to
apply:
1) Gently peel the prosthetic off its backing ensuring not to damage the edges.
2) Pick your spot on your actors skin where you want the burn to be then mark the area with a light coloured make up pencil.
3) Stipple a thin layer of Prosaide onto the prosthetic piece.
4) Put the prosthetic piece onto the water transfer paper.
5) Once the prosthetic piece is in place on the water transfer paper it is useful to map out on the paper where
the prosthetic is. Hold it up to the light and gently draw out the shape of the
prosthetic on the back of the paper.
6) Using a damp sponge with excess water squeezed out, gently press down the back of the prosthetic onto the skin. Once you are happy that the transfer paper has had
enough water to ensure the prosthetic sticks to the skin you can then peel the
transfer paper off.
7) Using IPA and a cotton
bud, blend out edges.
8) Powder the piece using translucent powder.
9) You can now paint your
prosthetic using Alcohol palettes or eye shadows.
10) Spray sealer over the finished piece.
Removal
- Remove the prosthetic with an oil based product such as pro clean. Avoid using IPA as the
prosthetic will go a bit tacky and will not come off easily.
