The Essential Palette is exactly as named-- it contains eight essential shades for adjusting, mixing, toning, augmenting and softening. Bluebird Palettes MUST be activated with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, and their colours do not contain iridescent pigments, and can be used on skin, hair and prosthetics. 

Iso Propyl Alcohol is restricted for professional use only but Skin Illustrator Activator or Slow Activator is a suitable alternative
