New! Grimas Latex Open Wound

Create a dramatic, realistic open wound in minutes with the Grimas Latex Open Wound - a pre-coloured, ready-made latex prosthetic that takes the guesswork (and the paint) out of wound effects. These handmade latex prosthetic wounds are designed for anyone who wants a realistic look quickly, whether for a First Aid Training Drill, a Halloween look, or a quick scare.

Available in four Open Wound designs (805, 806, 807, 808), each comes ready-coloured and supplied flat in a paper envelope, ready to apply straight onto clean skin.

Key features:

  • Pre-coloured - no additional paint needed to get started
  • Quick and easy to apply for fast turnaround looks
  • Excellent price point, ideal for budget productions and bulk Halloween use
  • Small, discreet shape suits close-up and social media work
  • Can be re-used multiple times with careful use and maintenance

How to use:

Apply Pros-aide or Spirit Gum to the back of the wound and to the skin. Leave for a minute to go tacky, then press firmly onto the skin, ensuring the edges are well adhered. Blend the edges into the skin by stippling on one or two thin layers of Liquid Latex, allowing each to dry before adding the next. Cover the blended edges with Rubber Mask Grease Paint for a seamless finish - regular grease paint will sit flatter and more matte on latex than on skin. Finish with Liquid or Congealed Blood as needed.

Removal:

Dip a cotton bud in Pro-Clean or Spirit Gum Remover and gently work around the edges to lift the prosthetic. Clean the skin with more remover. The latex piece itself can also be cleaned with remover for reuse.

Suited for:

Halloween makeup, social media and content creators, theatrical and film productions, and any artist needing a fast, budget-friendly wound effect
