Instruction Shee

Guidelines for Applying Prosthetic Transfers:

Begin by cleansing the prosthetic with either 99% Isopropyl Alcohol or Acetone, allowing it to thoroughly dry.

Gently tap the prosthetic; if excessively sticky, proceed to the next step. If not tacky, lightly stipple Prosaide Adhesive onto the surface and permit it to dry.

Place the Water Slide paper on a level, dry surface, ensuring the shiny side faces upward.

Turn over the prosthetic piece with care, pressing it gently onto the Water Slide transfer paper, with special attention to complete contact, particularly at the edges.

Trim excess acetate and Water Slide paper surrounding the prosthetic, cutting as close as possible without affecting the prosthetic piece.

Peel off the clear acetate from the water slide paper, leaving the prosthetic securely adhered.

Firmly press the prosthetic piece onto the actor's skin.

Drench a folded paper towel in warm water, eliminating excess water to prevent dripping, and press it over the Water Slide paper until thoroughly saturated.

As the Water Slide paper begins to loosen, delicately remove it, leaving the prosthetic in position on the actor's skin.

Employ a cotton bud or brush dipped in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to seamlessly blend the edges into the skin.

Following blending, use a stipple sponge soaked in Prosaide for further blending and sealing along the prosthetic edges.

Apply colour as required.

Spritz a light layer of makeup sealer over the completed piece.

Additional Tips:

Before trimming, hold the piece up to light, marking key points for precise placement using a makeup pencil or ballpoint pen (avoiding indelible markers).

Avoid transferring the piece to the Water Slide paper more than 15 minutes before use to preserve intricate details.

Use 99% Alcohol for pre-blending the edges if necessary before transferring onto the Water Slide Paper.

Removal:

Use an oil-based remover like Pro Clean for removal. Refrain from using Isopropyl Alcohol, as it may marginally dissolve the prosthetic, making removal more challenging.
