Got Flesh! Crows Feet & Eyebag #2 are an effective and easy way for any make up artist, regardless of experience, to create aged effects around the eyes.
Whats included:
- Prosthetic on acetate sheet
- Water slide transfer paper
- Instruction Sheet
Instructions for applying Prosthetic Transfers:
Clean the powder of the prosthetic using 99% Isopropyl Alcohol or Acetone and let dry
Gently tap the prosthetic with your fingers, if the piece is very sticky move onto the next step. If it doesn’t feel tacky then lightly stipple Prosaide Adhesive onto the surface of the prosthetic piece and let it dry.
Lay the Water Slide paper onto a flat dry surface, making sure the shiny side is facing up.
Carefully pick up, turn over the prosthetic piece and gently press down against the Water Slide transfer paper. Pres the entire surface of the prosthetic onto the transfer paper, especially the edges.
Trim the excess acetate and Water Slide paper around the prosthetic piece, cutting as close as possible without cutting into the prosthetic piece.
Peel off the clear acetate from the water slide paper. The prosthetic should be firmly stuck to the Water Slide paper.
Press the prosthetic piece firmly against the actors skin.
Take a folded paper towel and soak it in a small cup of warm water. Squeeze out any excess water so as not to drip down actors skin.
Press moist towel over the entire surface of the Water Slide paper until it is thoroughly wet.
When the Water Slide paper begins to slip off of the prosthetic, gently pull the paper away from the piece, leaving it in place on the actors skin.
Use a pointed or regular cotton bud or a stiff brush dipped in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to blend the edges to the skin.
Once blended, use a small piece of a stipple sponge dipped in Prosaide to help further blend and seal the edges of the prosthetic piece to the skin.
Colour as needed.
Mist a light layer of makeup sealer over the finished piece.
Additional Tips:
Before trimming it is best to hold up the piece to a light and mark landmarks which will help you during the placement of the prosthetic. Use a make up pencil or a ball point pen, NOT an indelible marker.
Do not transfer the piece to the Water Slide paper longer than 15 minutes before use as any detail could be flattened out.
You can use 99% Alcohol to pre-blend the edges if needed prior to transferring onto the Water Slide Paper
Removal:
Remove using an oil based remover such as Pro Clean. Try to avoid using Isopropyl Alcohol as this will slightly dissolve the prosthetic piece making it tacky and more difficult to remove.
