Established in 1981, Sunaura is one of the biggest distributors of professional beauty, salon, make-up and film supplies in Ireland.

If you are looking for the most professional industry-standard products available in the beauty, make-up and special effects industry, then look no further! We are dedicated to sourcing and selling only the highest quality products, including must-have brands such as Kryolan, Ben Nye, Makeup and Skin Illustrator, including many more. We also have cult classic skincare brand Mila d’Opiz and our own artisan brand of Make-Up Brushes, not to mention our PhD Safewax system and professional make-up by MaqPro Paris.

The company began in 1981 by Josephine Walsh, who is still our Managing Director. Originally, we supplied sunbeds into beauty salons in Ireland (hence the name "Sunaura"!),

and then expanded into skincare and make-up in response to salon requests. By stocking professional make-up, we soon attracted the attention of film productions and began stocking more and more film make-up and special effects products. Now, we supply to a huge variety of film and television productions in Ireland, including Vikings, Penny Dreadful, Love/Hate, The Lobster, Byzantium and more. We also supply to many of the Make-Up Artistry and Beauty Therapy courses in colleges around Ireland.

We still supply the beauty industry with some of the most effective brands on the market, such as Mila d’Opiz Swiss Skincare, Rubis Tweezers and Sunaura Brushes, and we provide salon training in our brands. We also carry a wide range of other useful salon brands, such as Refectocil, Combinal, Hive of Beauty, and many consumable products.

In 2015, we grew out of our old premises and moved to our new home in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. Nestled in between Ardmore Studios in Bray and Ashford Studios, we are in a great location with a purpose built showroom for people to visit and see our full collection of products, as well as training and seminar areas for our masterclasses and demos.
