If you are currently working as a professional makeup artist or beauty therapist or are studying in those areas, then you are eligible to apply for a Pro/Student account with Sunaura! Simply send us on some proof in the apply tab and you’ll gain access to all our professional-only benefits!

VAT Exempt?

If you are VAT exempt film production, are VAT-registered outside of Ireland, or are shipping products outside the EU, then let us know, then let us know and we won’t charge you VAT! Just send us an email at [email protected] with a copy of your VAT-exempt certificate or VAT number and we’ll mark your account as VAT excempt. It will happen automatically if you are outside the EU.

Once we have approved your pro/student acount, you’ll have access to all of the following benefits:

  • Full access to our professional discounts which can be up to 40% off our retail prices
  • The ability to purchase professional-only products and sizes
  • The option to subscribe to our monthly newsletter, filled with exclusive special offers, products and insider tips and tricks

If you are looking for a Pro account, some examples of what we would accept as relevant credentials are as follows:

  • ITEC, CIBTAC or other accredited certification
  • Busines card with name and profession clearly visible
  • Crew call list on production company letterhead
  • Professional website or portfolio (Instagram & Facebook pages are not valid.)
  • IMDb page
  • Membership of AIMS

If you are looking to apply for a Student account, then you can also send us on any relevant proof or credentials using the same apply form. For students in particular, we accept either of the following as proof:

  • A copy of a valid student card
  • A letter from your college or tutor stating you are a curent student, with name, start date and name of course clearly visible.

Please note that if you are applying for a Student account, then we also require the start and end date of your course. You can fill in these details in the comment box provided.

Yes it is
We will reply to your application within 24 hours. If you have sent on straightforward credentials, then we will automatically apply your discounts then and there. Otherwise, we may need to follow up on your credentials, which could take a little longer.
We offer the following discounts to our pro and student customers: 40% off MaqPro Paris and Sunaura Brushes 20% off Kryolan, Dermacolor, Rubis Tweezers and Mila d’Opiz 10% off everything else! The only products that are not discounted are professional-only products such as tinting, waxing or electrolysis, as they are trade-only products.
If you have already received a professional or student account from us in store or in person, then all you need to do is register on our site, then email us here (link) and let us know that you have done so. We will apply your professional discount to your account within 24 hours.
Yes! Just remember to let us know when you’re checking out that you have an account with us and we can apply your discounts.
If you have a Pro account, then you will receive discounts for two years. Once your two years are up, then we will send you a quick email that will ask you to re-do the application. If you have a student account, then your account is valid for as long as you are studying. Once your student account runs out, you’ll automatically be upgraded to a Pro account for two years.
